Longhu Lake is located downstream of the Fuxi River, not far from Saigentan. It is named for its resemblance to a dragon. In 1958, a dam 50 meters high and 80 meters long was constructed at the mouth of Longhu Lake, resulting in the formation of the Fuxi Reservoir. Consequently, the area of Longhu Lake expanded, with the lake stretching over 5 kilometers in length; the width varies, with the widest points nearing 1000 meters; the depth also fluctuates, reaching more than 40 meters at its deepest. The lake’s capacity is over 20 million cubic meters, and it generates 5000 kilowatts of electricity per hour. The construction of Longhu Reservoir has not only brought convenience to the local population for lighting and industrial power supply but also added endless scenic beauty. The ten-mile-long lake boasts clear, azure waters, with a seamless blend of lake and sky, shimmering waves, and cloud reflections, all of which are charming and captivating. The banks of the lake are lined with layered greenery, towering peaks, and rugged rocks, offering an abundance of natural beauty.

Opening hours: The lake is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
