Longhua Town is a significant town located in the southwest of Shanghai City, situated in the southeast part of the district. It is bordered by the Huangpu River to the east, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Railway to the west, Zhangjia Tang Port to the south, Huarong Road to the north, and Zhongshan South Second Road to the northeast and northwest, covering an area of 8.08 square kilometers. The town is named after the Longhua Temple and Pagoda. During the Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Huating County. In the Song Dynasty, it was known as Longhua Village. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was referred to as Longhua Market and Longhua Li. By the Ming Dynasty, it had already developed into a town with an initial scale of street markets. Longhua Town boasts convenient transportation with 26 docks along the Huangpu River and Longhua Port, and 13 land roads. There are 10 public transport routes operating within the town, making it one of the transportation and passenger hubs in Shanghai. The opening hours are subject to the actual daily opening status.
