Longjing Tea Inquiry is one of the New Ten Scenes of West Lake, renowned for its Longjing Spring, which ranks among the top three famous springs in the area. The tea brewed with Longjing spring water is truly exceptional, attracting numerous tourists each year around the Qingming festival. Visitors engage in tea visits, tea drinking, and tea inquiries, making it the foremost pleasure of spring outings.
The region known as Longjing is divided into two areas: the Old Longjing and the Lower Longjing. The Old Longjing encompasses the Longjing Spring and the abandoned Longjing Temple, as well as the eighteen tea trees that Emperor Qianlong is said to have picked during his southern tour, known as the ‘Eighteen Imperial Tea Trees.’
In the Lower Longjing, the residential area has been transformed into a unified agricultural settlement. Many farmhouses have been converted into agritourism spots, making it an ideal place for vacations and leisure. The area is open from 08:30 to 17:00 all year round.
