Longshan Park is a mountain park located in Rui’an City, covering a total area of 20.3 hectares. The Longshan Tower within the park was originally built during the Song Dynasty and reconstructed in the Ming Dynasty, with a history of over 600 years, making it a symbol of Rui’an City. The park began construction in 1991 and now features a well-connected network of roads, lush greenery, and several main attractions including the North Entrance Gate in the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Poetry and Calligraphy Corridor, the Tea House, the Watch Tower Pavilion, the Concept Pavilion, and the ‘May 9th’ Directive Memorial Pavilion.
Main attractions for tourists include ‘Bumper Cars’, ‘Sightseeing Cars’, ‘Sleds’, and ‘Dragon Cave Exhibitions’. Longshan Zen Temple is one of the larger Buddhist temples in Rui’an, and has been praised with the saying ‘Longshan is always as beautiful as a painting, with endless songs of woodcutters and shepherds’. The park is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
