The Longshui Gorge Crevice was formed by mountain-building movements millions of years ago. With steep walls and a deep gorge, it is a typical karst geological wonder. Here, you can experience the fun of traveling underground. The crevice is located in Xiannvshan Town, Wulong County. It is very close to the Tiankeng scenic area (Three Natural Bridges) and can be visited on the same day. Most tourists start from the tourist center in Xiannvshan Town.
They first visit the Tiankeng scenic area. Then, at the exit of the Tiankeng scenic area, they take a transfer vehicle to the Longshui Gorge Crevice scenic area (tickets need to be purchased in advance). You can also directly go to the Longshui Gorge Crevice scenic area from the tourist center. The Longshui Gorge Crevice is 5 kilometers long, and the accessible section for visiting is about 2 kilometers. It consists of three parts: the entrance crevice, the middle cave passage, and the exit isthmus. The gorge is between 200 and 500 meters deep. The cliffs on both sides are thousands of feet high, and the rock walls are extremely dangerous. The valley is densely covered with virgin forests, and there are continuous waterfalls and flowing streams, with magnificent momentum. Take the observation elevator down to the mountainside, and then gradually walk down to the bottom of the crevice along the steps on the mountain wall. Walk along the surging underground underground river. Along the way, waterfalls sometimes gush down and flow into the underground river at your feet. On both sides of the gorge are jagged rocks. Looking up, only a sliver of sky can be seen. Walk slowly along the plank road on the mountain wall and pass through the cave passage area. Inside the cave, there are densely distributed stalactites in various shapes, beautiful and magnificent. Continuing to move forward, after a turn, you will reach the exit of the gorge. At the exit of the scenic area, you can take a transfer vehicle back to the tourist center in Xiannvshan Town. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Minors: Minors aged 6 years old (exclusive) to 18 years old (inclusive) can enjoy half-price tickets. Students: Full-time undergraduate and below students (need to provide their valid student certificates) can enjoy half-price tickets. Residents of Wulong: Elderly people aged 60 years old (inclusive) to 64 years old (inclusive); local tourists in Wulong (residing in Wulong) can enjoy half-price tickets. Travel agency managers: Those with travel agency manager qualification certificates can enter for free. Journalists: Those with press cards issued by the State Press and Publication Administration can enter for free. Retired military cadres: Those with valid certificates can enter for free.
