Longxudai Reservoir is located 55 kilometers northwest of Qingyuan County, at the junction of Qingcheng Town, Jintan Town and Taoyuan Town. Due to the 40-meter drop at the outlet of the reservoir, the distant waterfall resembles a dragon’s beard ribbon, hence the name. It was completed in 1981. The catchment area is 128 square kilometers, and the normal storage capacity is 69.2 million cubic meters. Open all year round and open 24 hours a day.
