Longyin Temple was originally named Guanyin Pavilion. It was built during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. In 1937, Abbess Huiming presided over the reconstruction of Guanyin Pavilion and renamed it Longyin Temple. The name is derived from the meaning that when Guanyin comes here, a white dragon appears. It covers an area of more than two mu. There is a three-story double-eaved palace hall. The ground floor is equipped with a lecture hall. The second floor is the Mahavira Hall, and the third floor is the Tripitaka Sutra Depository. Nowadays, incense is flourishing and believers gather. In the future, the Mahavira Hall will be expanded to become one of the large-scale open Buddhist activity places in Minhang District. Opening hours: Open from 07:00 to 16:00 all year round. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
