The Longyou County Museum was established in March 1988 and is located at the former residence of Yu Shaosong, No. 4 Zhujia Lane, Longyou City.
In order to establish the Longyou Residence Garden and to relocate ancient buildings for protection, the museum was moved to the Jiming Mountain Residence Garden in October 1993. The collection primarily consists of ceramics and bronzes unearthed from the Han Dynasty tombs, as well as large, high-quality primitive celadon pieces from the Western Zhou tombs, with a considerable quantity. Particularly notable is the gold cup from the Ming Dynasty, which is the first gold liquor vessel unearthed in China’s civilian context. Opening hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 09:00 to 16:30, all year round; the museum is closed all day on Mondays.Longyou County Museum
