Lotus Mountain Holy Water Temple in Huludao, Liaoning

Lotus Mountain Holy Water Temple is located 30 kilometers north of Huludao urban area, at the southern foot of Lotus Mountain, south of the street in Yangjiashaozi Economic Development Zone.
The temple was first built in 1720 (the 59th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty). It covers an area of about 10,000 square meters. The whole temple consists of the main courtyard and the east and west wing courtyards.

Tianyuan Palace is the large mountain gate building of the temple. It has a square base and a round top with three floors. The first and second floors are square, and the third floor is octagonal. The roof of the building is a pointed top. There are bell and drum towers on both the east and west sides of the courtyard.

In 1714 (the 53rd year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty), the senior monk Chonghui settled in Lotus Mountain. He cultivated himself and begged for alms to build a temple, which was named Holy Water Temple. Since then, it has been continuously expanded and has become a grand ancient architectural complex.

It is now a national key cultural relic protection unit and a well-known tourist destination far and near. It is open from 7:30 to 18:00 throughout the year. The specific business status is subject to the opening conditions on the day.
