Lovers’ Bay, also known as Whale Rest Bay, is named after its location at the foot of Sanya’s Love Mountain – Luhuitou Mountain. It is situated further south, winding away from the city, and is opposite to Sanya Bay. It is 5 nautical miles from the coast of Sanya and belongs to the coral protection area, being a small and tranquil bay. Lovers’ Bay features more than ten crescent-shaped beaches of various sizes, each with its own characteristics. The bay boasts several kilometers of platinum beaches with soft, white sand grains, earning the accolade of ‘Platinum Embankment Gifted by the Sea’. It is open all year round from 8:00 to 17:30.
