Adjacent to the Olympic Sailing Center and Xinhai Square, Lover’s Dam is a jetty that extends into the sea and is an ideal spot for couples to meet, hence its name. It also served as the venue for water sports during the 2008 Olympic Games. Flocks of seagulls rest on the sea surface, and the jetty is lined with flags fluttering in the wind. At the end of the jetty stands a large white lighthouse, keeping watch between the sky and the sea, said to have once guided ships navigating the vast ocean back home. Below the long corridor lies a bar street with various bars, such as Jasmine 5 Bar, Oriental Soup Bar, Olympic Bar, Banana Bar, and Wave Listening Bar, each with its unique charm. Standing on the dam, one can feel the sea breeze while watching the waves crash against the shore and listening to the waves. Looking back, the charming central area of the island city comes into view, and at night, it is even more dazzling with its bright lights and colorful reflections, creating a picturesque atmosphere. The dam is open all year round, 24 hours a day.
