Lu Ji Tan Forest Park: A Majestic Natural Oasis in Fuzhou

Lu Ji Tan Forest Park, expansive in area, is centered around the Penny Crab Mountain in the northwestern mountainous region of Fuzhou, encompassing mountains and forests such as Fu Lao Mountain, Lion Head Mountain, and Shi Long Mountain.
Deep within the dense forest of the park, there is a waterfall approximately 12 meters high. On the west cliff wall, there is a cliff inscription from the Ming Dynasty’s Wanli period that reads ‘Lu Ji Tan’. On the east cliff wall, the inscription ‘霖雨苍生’ was carved by later generations to commemorate the Longle County Magistrate Xia Yunyi, who came here to pray for rain during the Chongzhen era of the Ming Dynasty.

The park is open all year round, accessible 24 hours a day.
