Luhu Garden is located along Longheng River. It combines the advantages of traditional Shaoxing gardens. Its pavilions, terraces, towers and attics are built close to the water. The old flagstones are used for paving the road. Bluestone is used as pillars and doors, presenting the characteristics of ancient Yue gardens. Various trees such as tallow trees, pomegranates, maples and poplars are dotted among them. Stone inscriptions and brick carvings and wood carvings are unique. The ancient Yue customs flow in the small bridges and flowing water. Here are the stele of Kangxi and Qianlong’s stay and Qianlong’s ‘Record of Inspecting the Seawall’, showing the profound historical culture here.
