Lujiazhi Island is a renowned fishing village located in Putuo District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, facing Shenjiamen Fishing Port across the harbor. The Lujiazhi Lighthouse and Lujiazhi Bridge are both well-known landmarks of the island.

Lujiazhi Island stretches approximately 2.5 kilometers in length and about 1.5 kilometers in width, covering an area of 3.74 square kilometers. Lujiazhi Village, a fishing community, is home to villagers scattered across 10 natural villages including Hongshan, Menxia Li, Nituli, Zhangdaomen, Mayishan, Dingjia, Hujia, Yujia, and Yingjia Ao.

The village is named after the island, and the name Lujiazhi originates from the surname of the first settlers who lived at the foot of Dongshan, as recorded in the 1924 ‘Dinghai County Chronicles’: Lujia Yu, also known as Lujiayu.
