Luniao Mountain is located at the border between Hangzhou and Anji, in Yuhang Luniao Town. At the summit, there stands a massive rock formation, imposing and grand, with continuous meadows offering a broad view that extends to the eastern extension of the Tianmu Mountain Range, including Yao Tou Mountain, Hong Tao Mountain, and Xian Ren Shi.
Luniao Mountain has an elevation of 869 meters, ranking it among the top 10 peaks in Hangzhou. The actual vertical ascent of climbing Luniao Mountain is approximately 720 meters, with vegetation changing according to altitude as follows: bamboo forests, mixed fir forests, dwarf shrublands, and alpine meadows. It is an undeveloped wild mountain, rich in nature and wilderness charm.
