Luo Binwang Park

Luo Binwang Park is a historical and cultural park dedicated to commemorating the renowned poet of the Tang Dynasty, Luo Binwang, who hailed from Yiwu. The park is located along Chengzhong Road, in the vicinity of Luojiatang, where it is said that Luo Binwang composed his famous poem ‘Ode to the Goose’ at the age of seven.
At the entrance of the park, a Tang Dynasty-style archway and screen wall have been constructed.


Luo Binwang (619-circa 687), styled Guangguan, was a native of Wuzhou Yiwu (present-day Zhejiang Yiwu). He was exceptionally intelligent and talented from a young age. At the age of seven, he wrote the poem ‘Ode to the Goose’ which spread throughout the region and earned him the reputation of a child prodigy. In his later years, he participated in the Yangzhou uprising led by Xu Jingye and authored the famous ‘Proclamation Against the Wu Family’.
