Luoshan National Forest Park covers an area of over 15,000 acres with a forest coverage rate of 91%. It is home to more than 1,000 species of plant resources and over 80 species of wildlife resources. The concentration of negative oxygen ions is more than 400 times that of urban areas, earning it the reputation of a ‘Botanical Treasure Trove’ and a ‘Forest Oxygen Bar’.

Luoshan boasts stunning natural scenery. The towering and majestic peaks, along with the crisscrossing and beautiful springs and streams, have inspired ancient people to exclaim, ‘Luo Peak stretches ten miles through mist and clouds, overshadowing millions of peaks in Denglai.’ The unique geological structure makes every peak of Luoshan perilous and every valley secluded, with cliffs rising thousands of feet and grotesque rocks standing in abundance. Qiu Chuji, one of the Seven Perfected Ones of Quanzhen, once praised, ‘High mountains and deep valleys are harmonious, white rocks piled up with clear pine smoke. The spring breeze sweeps through the valleys, as if aspiring to reach the heavenly court from above.’

The scenic area is layered with peaks, waterfalls spouting jade-like water, ancient towering trees, grotesque rocks, and solemn ancient temples. In spring, azaleas cover the mountains and fields, as fiery as flames; in summer, the gurgling streams and the fragrance of birds and flowers; in autumn, among the myriad greens, clusters of red leaves, with wild fruits hanging on the branches; in winter, the white snow is extremely spectacular, making it one of the wonderful places for tourism and vacation in all seasons.

The scenic area includes natural landscapes such as Mao Gong Mountain, Lotus Treasure Basin, waterfalls, God Turtle Pond, and Forest Oxygen Bar, as well as cultural landscapes like the Waterfall Pavilion, Double Friendship Pavilion, and Luoshan Film City, and historical and cultural relics such as Xiangguang Temple and Zhou Ancestral Temple. The magical and beautiful legends of the Wolf-Chasing Stone Pillar and the Two-Eyed Stone captivate visitors, making them linger and forget to return. The opening hours are from 08:00 to 17:00 all year round.
