Lushan National Forest Park is located in the south of Zibo and the northeast of Laiwu City. Inside the park, there are flying waterfalls and flowing springs, dense forests, and a beautiful environment. Coming here, you can not only breathe pure air, but also escape the heat and enjoy waterfalls, see strange peaks and rocks, or go to Tuoshan Temple, a famous temple with a history of thousands of years, to burn incense and worship Buddha.

You can also climb Guanyun Peak, the fourth highest peak in Shandong Province with an altitude of 1108 meters, and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains. Lushan Forest Park can be visited all year round, especially in summer when it is relatively cool. In summer, Lushan is lush and is a good season for escaping the heat and climbing high. You can also see the waterfall in Zaoshuyu falling straight down, which is pleasing to the eye.

Coming to Lushan in autumn, you can enjoy the red leaves all over the mountains. The feeling of layers of forests being dyed is very charming. In spring here, mountain flowers are in full bloom and colorful, and the air is fresh. Although it is cold on Lushan in winter, the tree hangings after heavy snow are very beautiful and should not be missed by photography enthusiasts. Lushan Forest Park is mainly divided into Zaoshuyu tourist area and Guanyunfeng tourist area.

There is no connecting transportation in the scenic area, so many self-driving tourists will choose to directly drive from the ticket office at the park entrance along the winding mountain road to the Lushan parking lot at an altitude of 900 meters, and then hike to visit the Guanyunfeng tourist area. The Guanyunfeng tourist area is a climbing loop. After about 2 hours of tour, you will return to the Lushan parking lot.

The essence scenic spots such as Guanyun Peak, Tuoshan Temple, Wanshi Labyrinth, and Yixiantian are all concentrated in this area. Guanyun Peak is the peak of Lushan. Climbing to the top of this peak, you can look around at the majestic mountains. Especially when the weather is clear, the scenery is beautiful. Here is also a good place to watch the sunrise and enjoy the sea of clouds. In addition, you can also try to pass through the Lushan Yixiantian where only one person can pass sideways, and go to explore the Wanshi Labyrinth, which is full of fun.

On the mountain, there is also an ancient temple with a history of more than 1400 years – Tuoshan Temple. It was built during the years of Emperor Wu of Liang in the Northern and Southern Dynasties. It is a temple with prosperous incense in the Lushan area. The temple is relatively small. There are buildings such as the Mahavira Hall, Zhigong Pagoda, and Zhigong Temple. The simple and unsophisticated temple is full of traces of time everywhere, which is very unique.

The 15th day of the third lunar month every year is the temple fair of Lushan. At that time, pilgrims gather here and it is very lively. The forest park also has a variety of leisure and entertainment activities such as zip lines, hammocks, swings, and waterwheels.
