Lushan Village, with a history of over seven hundred years, was in ancient times a gathering place for the wealthy and a culturally rich geomantic treasure land on the Leizhou Peninsula, with profound historical and cultural significance.
Throughout the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, ancient residential buildings covering an area of about one square kilometer have been preserved.

There are 28 distinctive ancient residential buildings, divided into Middle Lane, Middle East Lane, East Lane, East Square, Middle West Lane, West Lane, and West Square.


The village has three characteristic gates on its east, west, and north sides. The interconnecting houses and lanes within the ancient architecture complex form a unique defensive system that is unparalleled in the world.
