Lüxian Temple of Yellow Millet Dream is located 10 kilometers north of Handan City. It was first built in the Song Dynasty and was renovated and expanded in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Covering an area of about 20 mu, it is built according to the story of ‘A Dream of Yellow Millet’. The scale is magnificent. The main buildings include the front yard, the middle yard, Zhongli Hall, Lüzu Hall, and Lusheng Hall. Lüzu Hall is the main hall of Lüxian Temple. It has three bays in width and depth respectively and is covered with a Xieshan-style glazed roof. Inside the hall, there are statues of Lü Dongbin and a boy. There are five inscribed stones embedded on both walls. In front of the hall, there is a worship hall and a platform. On both sides are the East Queen Mother Hall and the West King Father Hall. Behind Lüzu Hall is Lusheng Hall. Inside the hall, there is a sleeping statue of Lusheng carved in bluestone on his side. The expression and image are extremely vivid. On the walls on the east, west, and north sides are murals depicting the story of Lusheng that ‘wealth, honor and splendor are ultimately illusory causes, and a dream of yellow millet ends one’s life’. In the corridor in front of the hall are steles from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
