Lüzu Palace stands as a revered sanctuary of the Quanzhen School, the predominant branch of Taoism. Oriented with its entrance facing west and opening to the east, the stone lintel above the mountain gate proudly displays the inscription “Ancient Temple of the Fire God”. This well-preserved Taoist temple is a testament to the architectural and spiritual heritage of the tradition.
**Layout and Main Attractions:**
Upon entering Lüzu Palace, visitors are greeted by the Lüzu Hall. This hall is dedicated to the enshrinement of several deities, including Lü Dongbin, known as the Pure Yang Patriarch, Sun Simiao, revered as the King of Medicine, and Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth. Ascending to the second floor of the south side hall, one finds the Moral Heavenly Venerable enshrined, a figure of great spiritual significance. The north side hall, known as the Cultivation Hall, serves as a sacred space for resident Taoist priests to conduct their daily rituals, engage in scripture discussions, and delve into the teachings of Taoism.
