Lvhua Island, named for its lush evergreen scenery, is located in the northeastern part of the Shengsi Archipelago. The island is composed of two parts, the East and West Islands. Characterized by its scarcity of sandy beaches, it is instead dominated by rocky cliffs and reefs. Amidst the mist, caves such as Yunwu Cave, Yuan Cave, Chuanxin Cave, Bangzhu Cave, and Moken Cave appear and disappear, creating an ethereal experience. Exquisite rocks and reefs are scattered throughout.
A magnificent cross-sea bridge connects the East and West Islands, spanning 172 meters in length and 5 meters in width, resembling a rainbow suspended between the sky and the sea, earning it the title ‘The First Bridge of the East China Sea’. Lvhua Island is also a renowned fishing village, abundant with hairtail, eel, and grouper. Within the small bay of Lvhua Port, cage aquaculture thrives with species such as black silkfish, flower silkfish, silver silkfish, tiger head fish, flower carving fish, and large groupers. Visitors can board a small boat to the cages, gently pull the net or feed the fish, and witness a splash of colors as black, white, and multicolored fish leap and compete for food. The island also boasts two renowned anchorages on its north and south sides, capable of accommodating hundreds of thousands of tons of cargo ships. Currently, an International Seamen’s Club is under construction to provide a recreational space for sailors after docking.Must Read
