M+ is Asia’s first global contemporary visual culture museum, located in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. The museum is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual arts, design, architecture, moving images, and Hong Kong’s visual culture from the 20th and 21st centuries.

【Exhibition Details】The special exhibition ‘I.M. Pei: A Life in Architecture’ (on display until January 5, 2025) is a comprehensive retrospective of the works of the renowned Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei (1917–2019). ‘Shan Ming Shui Ying’ explores the relationship between humans and nature from the traditional Chinese concept of ‘landscape.’ ‘Object · Space · Interaction’ delves into design and architecture within and beyond Asia. ‘M+ Sigg Collection: An Alternative Narrative’ visually examines the styles and practices of contemporary Chinese art from the 1990s to the present.


The Multimedia Center, Grand Staircase (except for ticketed events), B1 level, and Sky Garden are open to the public for free visits. ‘Henry Steiner: Turning Words into Images’ (on display until November 10, 2024) showcases the creations of Henry Steiner, known as the father of Hong Kong graphic design, during the city’s booming decades.


Opening hours vary by month: Full-day closure on Mondays; selected Fridays open from 10:00 to 22:00; Tuesdays to Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays open from 10:00 to 18:00.


Concessions apply to children aged 6 and under (free), children aged 7 to 11 (discount), full-time students with valid identification (discount), seniors aged 60 and over (discount), and persons with disabilities along with one companion (discount).


Service facilities include parking lots at M+ Car Park/Art Park Car Park, accessible from the drop-off area at 38 Museum Drive; luggage storage with rates from 5 to 10 Hong Kong dollars per hour for lockers and 10 Hong Kong dollars per hour for cloakrooms; smoking areas, mother and baby rooms located on B2 level, and restrooms on B1 level and G level.


Accessibility services include barrier-free entrances, elevators, and restrooms.
