Mangrove Seaside Ecological Park

The mangrove forest is a nature reserve established to protect mangroves. At the same time, this is also a free seaside park. The park is lush with vegetation and the air is very good. Looking around, it is all green. The mangrove forest is located at the Shenzhen Estuary on the north east bank of Shenzhen Bay. Different from Dameisha and Xiaomeisha, although the mangrove forest is also by the seaside, there is no beach here, but a mudflat.

The small fish and crabs on the mudflat attract many waterbirds, which has a unique flavor. Here, you can closely appreciate the characteristics of mangrove plants, such as phenomena such as ‘viviparity’, ‘buttress roots’ and ‘aerial roots’. The park also has a fairly large lawn. You can bring some food here for a picnic or morning exercise. Going for an outing with your family, inviting a few friends to chat and play the guitar here, bringing children to play games.

.. all are very comfortable. There is a sightseeing road along the coast. Coming here to ride a bicycle and take a walk and enjoy the sea breeze in the morning and evening is very comfortable. Bicycles can be rented near the parking lot of Mangrove Station. If you come with a lover or the whole family, you can also rent a two-person or three-person bicycle. Riding a bicycle by the sea with a loved one is so romantic to think about.

But be careful not to ride a bicycle at noon or similar times. It is hot and the ultraviolet rays are relatively strong. Here is facing Hong Kong across the sea. On a fine day, you can see the Shenzhen Bay Bridge leading to Hong Kong and the buildings in Hong Kong on the opposite side. If you want to see more clearly, there are coin-operated telescopes on the roadside by the sea. If possible, you can also see precious birds here.

Especially from about November to March of the following year in autumn and winter, more than 100,000 migratory birds will stop or overwinter at Shenzhen Bay. At this time, many bird watching enthusiasts will set up long guns and short cannons to watch birds here. Since the birds in the mangrove forest have the habit of ‘eating in the east and sleeping in the west’, that is, coming to the mangrove forest to forage in the morning and then栖息 in the mangrove forest in Mai Po, Hong Kong on the opposite side, so morning is also a good time for bird watching in the mangrove forest.

Opening hours: Open from 09:00 to 18:00 all year round. The specific business status is subject to the opening situation on that day.
