Baoguo Mountain is about 4,000 meters long, with continuous undulating peaks. In the middle, there is a granite mountain with a height of 630 meters. Its huge rock natural shape is extremely similar to Chairman Mao lying on his back under the sky, with a peaceful appearance and a perfect combination of form and spirit. Even more coincidentally, in front of Maogong Mountain, there is a Li ethnic minority village called ‘Jiefang Village’. Behind the mountain, there is a Miao ethnic minority village called ‘Dongfanghong’. The names of both villages were given in 1950 when Hainan was liberated.
