Maple Manor, with its spring willows and pavilions, is a place of serene beauty. The estate is encircled by terraces and boasts a lotus pond alive with goldfish. Renowned for its seasonal blooms—spring bamboo, summer lotuses, autumn chrysanthemums, and winter plum blossoms—the garden’s scenery harmoniously blends with the surrounding landscape, providing a breathtaking vista of lakes and mountains.
Tragically, during the Anti-Japanese War, when Hangzhou was captured, Maple Manor was razed to the ground, with only the ‘Hiding Mountain Pavilion’ remaining. However, in 2003, the garden’s original allure was restored at a new site along the Yanggong Causeway.
Today, visitors can experience the rejuvenated charm of Maple Manor, which is open to the public daily from 10:30 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 19:30.
