This exhibition is inspired by one of Abramović’s most representative performances – her historic walk on the Great Wall of China in 1988 with German artist Ulay. This journey made them the first international artists to cross the Great Wall. ‘Energy Transformation’ is curated in close cooperation with Abramović by Shai Baitel, art director of Shanghai MAM. It will exhibit more than 1000 images of the artist walking on the Great Wall and a series of works newly created for this exhibition. Opening hours: from October 10 to February 28.
