Master Hongyi’s Sarira Pagoda houses the master’s sarira. The top of the pagoda features a spider-web-like wood-imitating dougong structure, layered to enhance the spatial effect within the pagoda.
Master Hongyi’s profound knowledge in the fields of fine arts, calligraphy, music, and Buddhist studies has led him to be known as one of the three great modern Buddhist monks, alongside Taixu and Yinguang. The pagoda is open all year round from 08:00 to 17:30.
