On December 28, 2021, the Encounter Museum (Shanghai Jing’an Hall) will grandly open its doors to welcome visitors from all walks of life. The exhibition hall is located in Jing’an Xinye Industrial Park, No. 210 Wenshui Road, Jing’an District, Shanghai, covering an area of nearly 7000 square meters and serves as the flagship offline venue for the Encounter Museum brand. The opening of the Encounter Museum (Shanghai Jing’an Hall) will feature two major exhibitions: ‘Encountering Impressionism: The Dawn of Normandy – Evolution of 19th Century European Painting’ and ‘Encountering Ancient Egypt: The Golden Mummy Exhibition’, completing a millennia-spanning cultural exchange from the ancient and splendid Egyptian civilization to the budding of modernism in Western art history.
Opening hours: Closed all day on Mondays; 10:00-18:30 from Tuesdays to Thursdays; 10:00-19:00 from Fridays to Sundays; 09:30-20:00 on New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 1 meter in height are admitted for free, and must be accompanied by an adult (one adult can only accompany one child).
