Meijia Courtyard (also known as Tingjiangwei Overseas Chinese Building Complex) was built in 1931. The 108 arcade buildings are arranged in a rectangle. They are lined up in close order, and the appearance of each building is different. In the middle of the arcade group, there is a 40-mu market open space specially reserved for merchants to sell goods. It is just like a small square city. Since there were mostly people surnamed Mei at that time, it is called ‘Meijia Courtyard’. Entering Meijia Courtyard, a strong retro atmosphere comes head-on. Due to its long history, the exterior walls of many buildings are already slightly mottled and old, adding a touch of vicissitudes. However, there is still a lot of life here. People playing mahjong, drying clothes, etc. Many residents also start to sell some local specialty delicacies and small commodities, such as tofu pudding, jelly, sesame paste, and so on. Open all year round and all day long.
