Meili Village, formerly known as Taoyuan Meili, is located in Daicun, Linpu. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, it has beautiful scenery. About 2,000 years ago, the virtuous person Mei Fu of the Eastern Han Dynasty (father-in-law of Yan Ziling) lived in seclusion here to make pills, hence the name Meili. Of course, nowadays, the persimmon trees in Meili are more attractive. The planting history of Fangdingshi persimmons here has been more than 400 years. It is said that the founder is Ni Heng. In the twelfth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, he came to Meili, reclaimed wasteland, planted persimmons into forests, and cultivated Fangdingshi persimmons, which are large and delicious. In addition to natural landscapes such as the ancient camphor garden and persimmon forest, there are also starry tree houses, lotus ponds, and egret ponds.
