The Meiguan Ancient Road is located at the junction of Dayu County, Jiangxi Province and Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province. It is a relatively complete ancient post road preserved in the country. The ancient road was built around the Qin and Han dynasties. The existing part is about 8 kilometers long. The road surface is about 6 feet wide and is neatly paved with cobblestones. In ancient times, the Meiling Ancient Road was an important ancient transportation route connecting the Central Plains and Lingnan. This is the initial Meiguan Ancient Road. It is said that nowadays, whenever winter comes, plum blossoms are in full bloom along the ancient road, which is very beautiful. The Meiguan on the south side of the ancient road is known as the ‘First Pass in Lingnan’. Because plum trees are planted all over the north and south, the gorgeous blooming posture of plum blossoms in the cold winter season blends with the snow scenery of the ancient road, and the scenery is extremely magnificent and majestic.
