The Microwave International New Media Art Festival will be held from October 25 to November 24, 2024. It continues the innovative impact of the twenty-eighth year. The activities include theme exhibitions, screenings, and online conversations. While presenting the unrestrained nature of media art from multiple angles, it also explores various possibilities in connecting with people’s daily lives. Emotions are innate, but it is easy to run out of words when learning to express emotions, not to mention on the level of empathy and concern. Looking back during the epidemic, people supported and improved the state of social isolation and work stoppage at that time through digital technology. Later, more and more people improved their social interactions and daily lives through social media, including remote consultations with traditional Chinese medicine practitioners, online friend gatherings, and metaverse concerts. What the Microwave Art Festival is exploring this time is what can be done with the assistance of art and technology, and art and science.
