Ming’anli is located in Yangmei Village (commonly known as Yangweiliao), Tongyu Town, Chaoyang District, Shantou City. It is a tourist attraction with Chaoshan traditional folk houses as the theme, covering an area of more than 50 mu. Its main building is composed of eight Chaoshan traditional folk houses ‘four-point gold’ and a back storehouse surrounding a ancestral temple. In Chaoshan folk houses, it belongs to the pattern of ‘nine dragons spitting pearls’. Each four-point gold building adopts the structure of grey wood and glazed tiles. The beams and frames are decorated with bright Chaozhou gold lacquer wood carvings and oil painting color paintings. The roof eaves are decorated with Chaozhou inlaid porcelain. In addition, there are also Chaoshan folk traditional crafts such as clay powder paintings and stone carvings. Therefore, it is also known as the ‘window of Chaoshan folk culture’. The plaques and wall couplets are inscribed by dozens of modern calligraphers and painters such as Shi Shuqing, Shen Peng, Sun Zhiqing, Shan Guoqiang, Wang Xuezhong, Wang Qi, Liu Dawei, Tong Wei, Nie Chengwen, Chen Zhengming and Xiao Yingchuan.
