Mingzhen Temple, commonly known as ‘Cangkou Grand Temple’, was built in 1925. In the initial stage, Mingzhen Temple had three main halls in three layers. From front to back, they are the Dharma Protection Hall, Merit Hall and Jade Emperor Palace respectively. The deities worshipped in Mingzhen Temple are mainly Taoist deities, while Confucian, Buddhist and folk revered deities are enshrined together. The rebuilt Mingzhen Temple after being destroyed was opened to the public in 2005. It will serve as a base for displaying Taoist history, culture and art, conducting research and display of folk culture and folk art, and a place for mass cultural activities, attracting tourists.
