Minsheng Art Museum

The Minsheng Art Museum in Beijing is a privately funded professional art museum established by China Minsheng Bank. Together with the Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum and the 21st Century Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai, they form the operational platform of the Minsheng Art Institution, actively promoting the innovative development of Chinese art and jointly fulfilling the public welfare characteristics of the cultural and artistic undertakings of China Minsheng Bank.

The construction and preparation of the Beijing Minsheng Art Museum began in 2012, and the museum is located in Beijing Hengtong International Innovation Park, just across from the 798 Art District, a hub for contemporary Chinese art. The museum was built by converting a Panasonic factory, with internationally renowned architect Zhu Pei responsible for the design and planning, and Shanghai Construction & Engineering Group responsible for the construction.

The main structure of the exhibition hall consists of several irregular boxes, presenting a three-dimensional abstract modern art form while showcasing visual tension and the free spirit of rich imagination. The Beijing Minsheng Art Museum is committed to the research, collection, display, education, and dissemination of contemporary art. It is open all year round from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00; closed all day on Mondays.
