The renowned Xuguang Terrace, established in 1986, is located near the Qingliang Pavilion after passing through a small path. The hill is characterized by its many rocks and absence of bamboo, with a central arch resembling a steamed bun. The top of the hill, about half an acre wide, features a square terrace from which one can enjoy a panoramic view. Surrounding the terrace are railings, stone chairs, and tea tables. In the center stands a small square pavilion with eaves, offering an unobstructed view for visitors to rest and admire the scenery. Here, one can enjoy the sunrise and morning glow in the early hours, and the sunset and sea of clouds in the evening. Xuguang Terrace is an excellent spot on Mogan Mountain to watch the sunrise and sunset. From the terrace, one can take in the full panorama of Mogan Mountain, with its varied buildings and bamboo villas, forming an immense natural painting that is truly awe-inspiring. The terrace is open all year round and accessible throughout the day.
