The monument is located on Honghuagang on the southwest side within the Guangzhou Uprising Martyrs Cemetery. The main body of the monument is carved from a whole piece of bluish-gray natural granite, with a height of 4.6 meters. There is a bas-relief bust of Comrade Ye Jianying wearing a marshal’s uniform and three gilded characters ‘Ye Jianying’. In front of the monument is a red marble horizontal tablet with an inscription written on it. Under the horizontal tablet lies the ashes of Comrade Ye Jianying. Around the monument are verdant pines and cypresses, red kapok trees stand tall, and flowers are set off, presenting a solemn and respectful atmosphere.
