Jianjia Moonlight Cruise is located in Dongyutianli, Wuchang Port. The area is surrounded by Xixikou, with sandbars and water channels visible in all directions, and a vast expanse of reeds stretching as far as the eye can see. The local culture is rich and authentic, boasting the beauty of yellow oranges, red persimmons, purple water caltrops, and fragrant tea, making it suitable for visits all year round, especially in autumn and under the moonlight. As autumn deepens, the reeds release their fluff, which, when blown by the wind, creates a scene of autumn snow filling the sky. Cruising on the reed port at night, one can gaze upon a boundless expanse, with shimmering lights and a dazzling brightness, as the moonlit stream moves, and the light ripples across the horizon. As Li E, a poet, wrote: ‘A stream of song and a stream of smoke,’ one cannot truly appreciate its beauty without experiencing it firsthand. Shi Wan, a Ming dynasty poet, penned a poem about cruising on Xixikou at night: ‘White dew with reeds, moonlight reflected on the water. As if riding the wind of heaven, singing in the Milky Way.’ Open all year round, accessible 24/7.
