Muwen Village, located in Zhejiang’s Anji County, is a leisure and vacation area situated 4.5 kilometers west of Zhangwu Town, the hometown of modern art master Wu Changshuo. Nestled among mountains and boasting an excellent ecological environment, it is renowned for being mosquito-free.
The village is composed of three scenic areas: the front area features gorges and streams with winding paths leading to secluded spots, flanked by towering valley walls and the gentle murmur of mountain streams.

The central area is dominated by vast bamboo forests, known as a natural ‘oxygen bar’, and includes a one-zhang high ‘Waist-Supporting Stone’, rumored to cure back pain for those who rest against it.

The Wu Changshuo Former Residence within the scenic area marks the birthplace of the master, recreating the living scenes of his era. The ground architectural remains in the courtyard of the former residence are the remains of the Wu family’s ancestral home from the Ming Dynasty, dating back over 400 years.

Additionally, there are landscapes such as the Pan Bridge, Changshuo Art Corridor, and exhibition rooms, which enrich the memorial significance and aesthetic appeal of the former residence.

Muwen Village’s scenic area is themed around ‘agritourism’, offering visitors a chance to eat farm food, stay in farmhouses, and work alongside farmers. Especially in the summer, it has become a popular retreat for urban tourists seeking to escape the heat.

Opening hours are subject to the day’s operational status.
