The main peak of Naibu Mountain has an altitude of 915.4 meters and is the highest point in the city. Standing on the top and looking around, there is a vast expanse of forest and billowing pine waves. In the hot summer, it is a great place for people to escape the heat and can be compared with Lushan Mountain in Jiangxi Province. The temperature in Naibu Mountain in summer will not exceed 23 degrees Celsius. A folk saying goes: ‘There is no summer on the hill. No fan is needed during the day. Don’t leave the quilt at night. It’s as comfortable as a fairy.’ Shanglianggang has 13,000 mu of forest. The ancient path for sedan chairs is lined with red maples on both sides. Every May, when the maple leaves turn red and the forests are dyed, it is like a paradise.
