Nan’ao Island National Forest Park is the only island national forest park approved by the National Forestry Department, located on the west peninsula of Nan’ao, approximately 4 kilometers from the county town with well-developed transportation. The park boasts abundant resources. Covering an area of 20,600 mu, it is an ecological park that integrates natural landscapes, cultural landscapes, and forest health functions. It offers various tourism activities such as Da Jian Lan Sheng, Ma Miao Chao Sheng, barbecues, fishing, live-fire shooting, rural customs, and mountain forest fun. The park has developed cultural landscapes including Song Da Tan stone carvings, Qing Chang Shan Wei battery, Ying Shi Mountain carvings, educated youth sites, and the Nan’ao Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall. The park is open all year round from 08:30 to 17:30.
