Nanguo Silk Capital Silk Museum

Nanguo Silk Capital Silk Museum is a private silk museum in Guangdong Province. It aims to recreate the ecological landscape of Shunde’s ‘mulberry base fish pond’; preserve the glorious historical memories of Nanguo Silk Capital; showcase the evolution of the silk industry, the source of Shunde’s manufacturing, from the Ming Dynasty to the modern era; sing the melodious songs of the Silk Road; and promote the pioneering, enterprising, pragmatic, and inclusive spirit that Shunde people once relied on for their glory. The museum displays a vast collection of images, texts, specimens, ancient original equipment, facilities, tools, items, clothing, and a rich array of silk products. Visitors are invited to personally experience activities such as mulberry picking, silkworm rearing, silk reeling, cocoon peeling, weaving, and dyeing.


Opening hours: The museum is open from 8:30 to 17:30 all year round.


Service facilities for luggage storage: Small items can be self-stored, while valuables should be carried with you.
