Nanhai Guanyin Temple was built in 990 AD (the fifth year of Chunhua period of Emperor Taizong of Song Dynasty). It has a history of more than a thousand years. The temple is backed by Phoenix Mountain and the surrounding environment is quiet and secluded. After many renovations, today’s Nanhai Guanyin Temple is magnificent and the incense is continuous. Nanhai Guanyin Temple is a three-story palace-style temple with carved beams and painted pillars, which is very exquisite. The tall and magnificent archway of Guanyin Temple, the earth temple with lingering incense, the solemn and sacred Wannian Baoding, and the imperial road engraved with white marble reliefs are all must-see places for tourists here. There is also a release pond in front of the temple. When summer comes, lotuses are in full bloom here, with a fragrant fragrance, making people linger and forget to return.
