Nanhu Colorful Botanical Garden is divided into three distinct areas from west to east: the artificially planted display area, the lake area, and the mountainous natural ecological forest area. Based on local climate and soil conditions, the garden features a variety of ornamental flowers and trees such as red maples, roses, rhododendrons, cosmos flowers, and poppies, making it a popular park for enjoying the greenery. The garden boasts over 20,000 red maple trees, including Japanese and Chinese varieties. During the best viewing periods (March to May, October to November), the red maples under the sunlight create a spectacular scene, resembling a fiery sunset spread across the horizon, with their bright red and golden hues.
The garden also nurtures thousand-year-old rhododendrons, 200,000 multi-headed roses, a kilometer-long corridor of Japanese late cherry blossoms, and hundreds of acres of peach blossom forests, all contributing to a colorful spring. Located in the picturesque Nanpeng Town, Banan District, by the shores of Nanhu Lake, the garden is just over thirty kilometers from the city center. From the garden’s observation deck, visitors can overlook the entire Nanhu scenery.
