Nanshan Road starts from Hubin Road intersection in the north and ends at Xishan Road intersection in the south, encircling nearly half of the West Lake. Along the road, there are scenic spots such as Huagangguanyu (Viewing Fish at Flower Harbor), Su Causeway in Spring Dawn, Leifeng Pagoda in Sunset Glow, Orioles Singing in the Willows, Jingci Temple, and King Qian’s Memorial Temple. There are also scenic spots adjacent to it such as Heavenly Wind over Wu Hill, Inquiring about Tea at Longjing, Dreaming Spring at Hupao, Wansong Academy, and Gems Flying in Rosy Clouds.

There are also historical and artistic halls like the China National Silk Museum, China Academy of Art, and Zhejiang Art Museum embedded like diamonds. On the west side of Nanshan Road is the beautiful West Lake. There are quiet cafes on both sides of Nanshan Road. The floor-to-ceiling glass is most generous in presenting the scenery along the road. The faint music sometimes drifts in the air on the road along with the seemingly present yet elusive coffee fragrance.

From the lush foliage filling the entire sky to the silent road surface, from the unhurried pace to the occasional glance up, time can always be ignored here. One must definitely take a stroll along Nanshan Road. This is the ‘concentration camp’ of petty bourgeoisie, with bars, teahouses, galleries, and the China Academy of Art. When having tea in such a place, the sentiment is the top priority. As for the tea itself, it is not as good as that at home.
