Nanshan Scenic Spot is located to the south of the county town, covering an area of 2 square kilometers, mainly composed of three scenic areas: Nanshan, Danfeng Mountain, and Wanghailou. Nanshan is part of the Dalong Mountain Range, originating from Tiantai, winding through Linhai to Haiyou City, resembling a dragon at play, hence the common name Long Mountain. It was historically known for the ‘Longshan Academy, Wenchang Pavilion, Wenfeng Tower, and other twelve scenic spots of Longshan’. After being developed into a scenic area in 1980, Nanshan Scenic Area has been continuously improved through development. On the eve of New Year’s Day in 2000, the West and Middle roads of Nanshan were paved. Particularly, the Middle Road tightly connects the East and West roads, making the pavilions, towers, and forests form a unique style and complement each other, making it an excellent place for public leisure and entertainment.
