Nanyang Bridge, also known as Yuyan Bridge, is located in Yantou Village, Sixi Town. This bridge is a flat wooden beam bridge with outstretched arms and a double-eaved hip roof. It was built in the ninth year of Tongzhi. The structural feature of Nanyang Bridge is to build stone piers in the stream, and then stack wooden beams on the stone piers and extend in both directions for balance. This two-way outstretched wooden beam bridge can increase the supporting effect of wooden beams and also make the wooden pillars have a certain stability in the longitudinal direction. Many wooden bridges in mountainous areas of Zhejiang adopt this structure. Open all year round and open all day.
