The Nanyue King Museum is a large archaeological site museum relying on important archaeological remains of the Nanyue State. It is located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. The museum is divided into two exhibition areas: the king’s tomb and the palace. The king’s tomb exhibition area is located at No. 867, Jiefang North Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City. Its predecessor is the Nanyue King Museum of Western Han Dynasty. The palace exhibition area is located at No. 374, Beijing Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City. Its predecessor is the Nanyue Palace Museum. The total construction area of the Nanyue King Museum reaches 40,000 square meters. It showcases archaeological sites such as the tomb of the Nanyue King Wen, the Nanyue palace garden, and the palace of the Southern Han Dynasty. It also has permanent exhibitions such as ‘Treasures of Nanyue’, ‘The Central Place of Lingnan for Two Thousand Years’, and ‘Special Exhibition of Donated Porcelain Pillows by Mr. and Mrs. Yang Yongde’. At the same time, various temporary special exhibitions are continuously held.
