The National Alpine Skiing Centre is located in the area at the southern foot of Xiaohaituo Mountain in the northwest of Yanqing District, Beijing. It is the competition venue for snow events in 2022 for downhill, slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom, all-round events and team events. The base area of the National Alpine Skiing Centre is 432.4 hectares, of which the construction land is about 6 hectares and the building area is about 43,000 square meters.
The outdoor building area (corridors, platforms, stairs, etc.) is about 11,000 square meters. The building area is 43,200 square meters. The National Alpine Skiing Centre has a total of 3 competition ski runs, 4 training ski runs and other connecting ski runs and technical ski runs. The total length of all kinds of ski runs is about 23.1 kilometers, and the vertical drop is about 925 meters. The entire land is approximately rhombus-shaped. The highest point at the top is Xiaohaituo Peak (2198.38 meters). Extending from this peak to the southwest and southeast along the ridge line, the bottom converges at the upper entrance of Foyukou Gully (1238 meters). The entire terrain is that all the gullies converge downward from Xiaohaituo Peak in the northeast to the gully mouth in the southwest corner. The altitude difference is about 960 meters. Most of the mountain slopes are more than 40%. It adopts a single venue model and a decentralized layout. There are two finish areas for speed racing and competition in the competition area. It is the core area serving the events and has multiple functions such as competition finish, audience viewing, event organization, and transportation distribution.
